The Privacy and Consent Document for real estate in BC was introduced as part of the 2018 changes to the the Real Estate Services Act. This document replaces the old Working with a Realtor used previously by BC real estate professionals.

Before receiving any trading services from a Realtor, they must provide you with the Privacy & Consent form along with the Disclosure of Representation form. Once you have reviewed the documents, you have the option of signing this form(s) to confirm that you have received this consumer protections information. Your agent must submit these forms to their Brokerage immediately upon signing. This is mandated by law that all BC Realtors must abide to and is not a contract that binds you in any way.
