Union is a 35,500 sf mixed-use development site located in Victoria’s Chinatown. Designed in partnership by Robert Ciccozzi Architects and Merrick Architecture, the project comprises two 5-storey residential buildings with an elevated landscaped courtyard and ground floor retail and restaurant space. Union has reintroduced a key block in the Old Town District and at the same time restored an existing heritage facade and historic midblock pedestrian connection called Theatre Alley. In total, the project includes 133 residential units and 9,000 sf of retail fronting Fisgard Street and Pandora Avenue. Union was recently awarded a prestigious UDI Award of Excellence as the Best Real Estate Development on Vancouver Island.
